Book Store UMM
UMM
Bookstore was launched on August 21, 2005. As one of the business centers at
the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. During the operation, UMM Bookstore has
undergone many developments from various sides, although in its development
phase, there are still many weknesses. There are some obstacles which influence
so much with the achievement capability of UMM Bookstore since it was operated
for approximately 4 years and 4 months. The obstacles can still be felt until
now, such as the low sale mobility.
Until
now, UMM Bookstore has 3 divisons, book, stationery, and computer divison, and
starting from several times ago, UMM Bookstore has developed a new division
which cooperates with individual party by establishing a new business unit
which is called UMM souvenir center, in which the individual party was chosen
because of having the same vision and mission with the University of
Muhammadiyah Malang. The market share targeted by souvenir center who is mainly
from UMM academician and non academician is expected to be able to give the
better contribution in UMM Bookstore development in the present and future. 3
(three) divisions owned by UMM Bookstore is located on the same floor with the
display which is divided into two, they are stationery in west and book and
computer division display in east.
Based on
the long term plan of UMM Bookstore that refers to several stores in Malang and
surround it, Bookstore tries to develop new concept in order to promote UMM
Bookstore, new brand imaging in boosting marketing process is started to
develop since November 2010. Based on the real current condition of UMM
Bookstore, it will be developed as One Stop Market Of Education n Shopping.
